Gentle light flitted through the entrance of her den as Deirdre stretched out
in her nest. She squinted through the light, her eyes straining to see what
lay outside. In a brief moment she was on her paws, her ears pricked and
worry seeped from her pelt. Her memory sparked as she thought of the she-
cat who had arrived in the early morning in desperate need of help. She could
still remember the huge wound that had crossed the she-cats shoulder and
foreleg.

Damn, that must have hurt... good thing she was unconscious, at least it would
have shielded her from the pain.

Her eyes glittered as an idea came to her. She bounded into the clearing,
picked up a juicy mouse, and made her way to the den of the newcomer.

"Hello?" she called out gently, one of the few times her voice wasn't booming out of her lungs.

She had loved the idea of healing ever since she was young, though she
was confused when she was given the tattoo of a poisoner. It didn't
bother her, merely confused her. She had always been pretty good at
traditional healing, though, when she was younger.

Regardless of whether or not she could do anything to help the she-cat,
she at least knew she could offer her something to eat and someone to
talk to.

Orange > Water Tribe | Character: Kyra | Area: Light Tribe Camp | ~

It was her last day in Light Tribe camp, and the Orange-Water was readying herself for going back to her tribe territory. Eager to get back to her warrior duties of Water Tribe and help out with the things that are going in Nandryx. For example the recent intruders that came into the world of Nandryx. The Golden Butterflies, hearing about them Kyra found them quite sickening and doesn't intend on meeting one anytime soon!

Looking at the necklace that was on the ground, Kyra gave a slight smile and picked it up. Necklacing dangling from her maw as she was about to push her way through the leaves to come across a brown Orange-Light whom she seen around a couple of times in Light Tribe camp during her recovery. Backing up a little with a low growl rumbling in her throat, Kyra recovered her posture and spoke. "Hello, Orange-Light." Deciding to ignore the Orange-light, Kyra limped past her with foreleg sheering with intense pain. Stupid, idiotic, dimwitted Green-Shadow. A single scowl was placed on her face as she continued on repeating such a sentence in her head. It was the Green-Shadow's fault who made her get this injury, even though it wasn't all his fault... Wow, such a kitty blaming stuff on others.

Deirdre watched as the pale she-cat walked past her, and she caught a glimpse of the wound that now parted her tattoo.

"Damn, that looks like it hurts. I brought this for you, I figured you might be hungry." she mewed, gesturing to the mouse that hung from her jaws.
"And you might want to take it easy, hun. I'm sure you don't want to have that wound opening up again. Trust me, that's no fun."

The smaller she-cat came to stand in front of the Orange-Water in an attempt to get her to rest. She dropped the mouse at her paws and nudged it toward her.

"Eat. You'll need all the strength you can get if you want to get out of here,as I'm sure you do." she smirked.

She knew if she was in her position, being stuck in another tribe's camp, she'd probably go crazy. But at the same time be injured, hell she'd definitely go crazy.

Deirdre took notice of the necklace that hung from the Orange-Water's mouth, her face lighting up with curiosity.
"Where did you get that? It's pretty damn cool!" she mewed, noting the intricate detailing that wrapped the blue crystal.

The Orange-Water's tail lashed as she let out a growl, "Tell me about it, Orange-Light." Sitting down as the brown colored she cat stopped in front of her and dropped the mouse before her paws. It sure looked juicy!

Dropping the necklace beside the mouse, Kyra laid down and started biting into the juicy mouse. Within a minute she was finished, it was obvious that the Orange-Water was starving. Poor thing. Just as she finished, Kyra looked to the Orange-Light whom commented on her necklace. "Thank you, I found it in the caverns in Water Tribe territory."

Deirdre smiled widely as she watched the Orange-Water eat.
Good girl!

"Oh really? Haha I don't suppose they have two of them lying around, do they?" she purred as she spoke, her words edged with playful laughter.

"I can't say I have much to go on in the accessories department, just these!" she mewed, flicking her left ear that held her piercings, while her eyes flickered to her simple necklace.

"I was hoping to get my necklace blessed by one of our primaries, though I'm not sure who I should ask." she shrugged. "I decided to become a diviner because I thought it was pretty cool being able to bless and curse objects... well, just curse for me, hence why I need someone else to bless my necklace." she smiled, pride swelling in her chest as she announced her profession, and with it came automatically the feeling of belonging.

This really is my home...

"Say, what's your name?" she asked suddenly, eyes glowing with excitement, "Mine'sDeirdre!" she exaggerated her name as she spoke it, letting each letter ring with the gentle clarity of her voice.

Kyra smiled faintly as the Orange-Light's comment as the Orange-Water put the necklace back on herself. Listening to the Orange-Light, she was quite intrigued on what profession she does... "Thats cool, cursing necklaces. All I can do is just control water and walk on it, but you know.. There is some perks of being a Water Tribe cat."

The Orange-Water sat up straight and looked around to see every cat walking past them, doing spirits knows what. "Deirdre? Thats a pretty name... Uhmm.. The name is Kyra, and don't give my name out to any Shadow Tribe cats okay? Even if a specific bicolored tom asks for it, desperate tom is getting on my nerves." Rolling her eyes, Kyra let out a chuckle and had an idea. "Say Deirdre, think cursing a necklace can do something to a cat that touches it? Like for example if I give the necklace to a cat for them to try to wear it, will they get some of the effects of your ability that comes from the necklace?" A devious grin spread across her face at the thought of her necklace doing something to the Green-Shadow. Just to teach him to stop being so desperate on knowing her name.

"Pretty cool indeed!" she mewed, bouncing once on her paws.
"Though I'm sure you guys can do some pretty badass things."

Letting herself sit down, her ears perked at Kyra's little story. Deirdre's lips instinctively curled into a sly smile, curiosity flaring in her chest.

"Ooh, pray tell, Kyra. Do you have some handsome cat chasing after your heart?" she chuckled softly, her smile becoming more gentle as she spoke.
"But, I'm afraid it doesn't quite work like that. If I were to curse an item, it allows the wearer a one time use of any of my poisoning powers. Although... You could always just use it directly on him if you're that desperate to make him feel crappy."she mewed, meeting the pale she-cat's blue eyes.

"Okay, you need to tell me more about your little stalker! It sounds so cute. And I solemnly swear to each Spirit of Nandryx that your name, and any secret, shall accompany me to my death " she purred, bowing her head as she spoke.

Deirdre may not seem to be a trustworthy cat solely based on her outward appearance, but she was exceptionally loyal.

Black claws scraping the ground, Kyra lifted one of her paws up to get a glance at her claws. Setting her paw down, the Orange-Water looked up at the Orange-Light with a neutral expression. "I wouldn't say he is chasing my heart, he is going to fail so its best if he gives up before he hurts himself." With a slight shrug, Kyra took off her necklace and nudged it towards the Orange-Light.

Kyra couldn't help but chuckle at the Orange-Light, it was like she was an eager apprentice wanting to know all about the toms or her best friend's love interest. "Tell you more about him? Wow, here comes a long list. The Green-Shadow is a large tom, about an inch or so taller than me by the looks of it. Annoying, persistent, oddly nice, tries to get on my good side, but I of course see right through that. Appearance wise: Muscular with quite interesting green eyes in which his tattoo is the same color as his eyes... I think about a bright green? Despite his... How you say, attractive looks... Well... Like I said before, he is annoying and doesn't know when to stop."

◄• Orange-Light || Deirdre || Light-Tribe Camp •►

"Oh wow okay, doesn't sound like he's exactly in your good books."

Deirdre tried to think back to the day Kyra was brought into camp. Tuft was with her, and so was another...

"Wait a minute! The tom who was with you when you came here? That was him, wasn't it?" she mewed curiously.

She found it interesting that the Shadow-Triber had helped the she-cat. She had heard her fair share of stories about them, though she'd only been here a little while. The things they could do both fascinated and terrified her at the same time.

She shook her head to bring herself back to reality, and her gaze focused on the necklace at her paws. She drew it closer to her with a creamy colored paw, and she let her tattoo activate. She felt it move from her chest in an orderly fashion toward her eye and then to her forehead. She smiled widely, loving the feeling of the power she now possessed. Bending forward to touch her nose to the crystal, she channeled her powers into the little object. The glow of her lit orange tattoo reflected off it in a small little light show. In no time at all, the job was done and she pulled back her head to meet the Orange-Water's gaze.

"All done, sweetie. Like I said before, this will give you one use of any of my powers. Use them wisely." she found herself winking at the she-cat, and she chuckled a little as she let her tattoo fade back to it's original color.

The little she-cat had become confident in her ability to curse objects because she had practiced so many times. She was a perfectionist by nature, so she just had to make sure everything was just right.

Taking the necklace in her paws, Kyra looked at it to only see her reflection. This necklace contained all of the abilities this Orange-Light had, such beauty had such a secret ability within the necklace... Perfect!

Looking up at the Orange-Light, Kyra smiled. "To answer your question, Deirdre. That was him, but don't get caught up by his looks. He is an idiot like I said before." With a slight chuckle, Kyra put on the necklace as it hung from her neck. "Darn, it seems like I need to use it wisely. I'll treasure what you have done for me, Deirdre and whenever I end up using my necklace in those situations, it might save my life... So thank you, just so you know. You already saved a life just by doing this one act." Getting up, Kyra looked up to the sky to see it fading away.

Giving a bow to the Orange-Light, Kyra walked past the Orange-Light but only to stop at her side to only whisper. "Feel free to get the Green-Shadow off my back. I need it!" Waving her tail in a goodbye, Kyra made her short little journey back to Water Tribe. Finally! Finally free from Light Tribe camp!

Deirdre smiled widely at her companion, though her gaze was oddly far more gentle. After she had finished speaking, she couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.
I already saved a life? How in the Spirits name...? she shook her head mid thought. She decided against pressing her for more details, though she knew it would probably play on her mind all day.

Meeting the Orange-Water's eyes, she could tell she wanted nothing more than to be home with her tribe, so when she bid her farewell to her, she didn't protest. She felt herself giggle at the snide comment, and she nudged the she-cat playfully, though she was very wary of her shoulder.

"Don't say it too loud, wouldn't want to ruin the plan!"

She watched as she left, and she wished her a safe journey back to Water-Tribe. Kyra was the first cat she'd ever met outside of her own tribe, and the thought warmed her heart. It was an exciting prospect for Deirdre; she was making her way through her new life as a tribe cat pretty well so far, but only time will tell if that was to remain true.

I just love Dei! She is such a beautiful character and just outstanding! I plan on doing another roleplay with Deirdre in the future!
